Start time – 12.45pm to end at 2.30pm latest

Please refer to the attached information that has pitch directions and address. With Hammersmith Bridge being shut and roadworks around Richmond on the A316 it has impacted traffic around us and the car park by the pitch and the surrounding area can get really busy. So please advise your parents to take that into account. It is an option to park by Barnes Bridge station and walk over Barnes Bridge round to our pitch. It is a 5 minute walk.

Address: Dukes Meadows, Dan Mason Drive, Chiswick W4 2SH

Entrance to the pitch is in the top right-hand corner of the car park. The pitch is ONLY accessible through the car park. Please note that car parking can get very busy at Dukes Meadows in prime times at weekends so if you can parking in Barnes by Barnes Bridge station and walking or cycling over the bridge is strongly advised. There is an underpass from the north side of Barnes Bridge taking you under the railway to exit on Dan Mason Drive – turn left and you will see the car park with yellow bar gate to the car park in front of the hockey pitch - making the walk from Barnes to the pitch 5 minutes.
Please do not leave anything visible in your cars when using the car park. Users of the car park do so at their own risk. Some parking bays on Dan Mason Drive and Dukes Meadows are paid parking so please check any Council signage carefully.

Directions by car: Please be reminded that the TFL Roadworks around the Richmond area and on A316 are causing significant traffic challenges is using the A316 into London so please advise your parents to seek alternative routes or allow extra time. Using A3 and parking in Barnes then walking over Barnes Bridge may be better.
Coming from Richmond on the A316 going north, go over Chiswick Bridge and turn immediately right at the traffic lights onto Dan Mason Drive, signposted Dukes Meadows Golf and Tennis.
Coming from Hammersmith, drive down the A316 towards Chiswick Bridge. At the lights before the bridge turn left onto Dan Mason Drive, signposted Dukes Meadows Golf and Tennis.
Then -
Continue past Dukes Meadows Golf & Tennis centre until road takes a sharp left hand turn into an S bend. On the S bend turn left into car park under the yellow height restrictor gate. If you end up going past Chiswick Rugby and to the railway bridge you have gone too far.
Please note: Dukes Meadows falls inside the Ultra-Low Emission Zone and so all vehicles (cars and motorbikes) that fall within that category will need to pay the ULEZ charge within the specified time frame to avoid a PCN. Please note - Some of the parking bays along Dan Mason Drive are pay-parking.

Alternative route by foot or bike:
Given the volume of traffic at Dukes Meadows due to usage for hockey, rugby, football and rowing, it is advisable that whenever possible you access Dukes Meadows by foot or cycle. Closest station is Barnes Bridge.
There is a path over Barnes Bridge accessed from the south side of the river by Barnes Bridge station. Parking is available (unrestricted parking at weekends) in the nearby roads to the station (Elm Bank Gardens, the Terrace, Cleveland Gardens and Terrace Gardens).
Once over the bridge, turn right and take the underpass under the railway, turn left when you reach the road and the entrance to the car park is 10 m on your right (yellow-bar height restrictor at entrance).
We have a cycle park for bikes.
Pitch-side Facilities: We have changing cabins (no showering facilities) and toilets pitchside.
For matches: We would ask that you wait on the pathway or warm-up area outside the silver pitch perimeter fence until the previous teams have vacated the pitch. Once you have finished your game please can you leave the pitch immediately and do your team talks etc off the pitch so the next teams can get access.
Request to all pitch users:
We aim to minimise the use of disposable plastic bottles but if you do have plastic bottles please dispose of them in the bins at the pitches. We would be grateful if you could dispose of all litter in the bins provided, or take it home with you.
We do allow dogs within our perimeter fence but not on the pitch itself. Please ensure you tidy up after your dog.
We would be grateful if you could ensure that that your footwear is clean of mud before entering the pitch.
Barnes Hockey Club and Barnes Sports Club accept no responsibility for any injury incurred on its demise howsoever caused.
