The Under 12s had a good end of season London Plate Tournament and Laith, William, Sam, Stan, Toby, Tom, Xander and Max did show great battling spirit. The fact that we ended up having two draws and two defeats was a bit unlucky and did not reflect the quality the team showed in these matches. Remarkably one of the coaches of another team talked to us applauding the spirit and attitude of the coaches (meaning Sukhi and myself) and the entire team which does not happen every day. Max was again as cool as a cat in front of goal and continued his scoring tally from the last tournament as Toby continued to control the match in a selfless and more defensive manner. William and Sam formed a very strong defense in front of our great goalkeeper Laith. Xander, Tom and Stan battled hard in midfield, played excellent passes and never gave up a single ball.
Shame the tournament season is ending at a point in time when the team have really found each other and become a formidable outfit.
But then we will continue to work hard in training to prepare for the next tournament season …thanks everyone …Michael
