On a typically wet and windy January day, we faced Southgate for the second time this season, determined not to repeat the result of our previous encounter.
From the start, we were under pressure, but after weathering the storm, we found our rhythm. Luca, making his debut in goal, made an excellent impression, keeping a well-earned clean sheet.
Offensively, we showcased some fantastic team play with quick, sharp transitions and well-timed runs. Daniel was in superb form, netting all three of our open-play goals, while Toby added to the tally with a clinical finish from a short corner.
The final score: 4–0.
It was a result we were all thrilled with, setting us on the right track after the Christmas break.
