Our selected squad of 9 x u12 boys did Ealing proud in the year end In2hockey plate festival.
The boys got of to the perfect start with Daniel’s goal securing a 1-0 win vs Southgate.
They won by the same scoreline in the second match against OMT. Elliott’s deft reverse flick winning the match in the last minute.
In the 3rd match it was Ealing’s turn to concede in the final minute vs Eastcote despite chances of our own and some resilient defending.
They went into their final match knowing that a win would see them progress to the final. Sadly it was not to be against a strong West Herts side who ran away 2-0 winners. Although they lost, the match provided the Ealing highlight of the day, with Xander diving to heroically clear off the line as the opposition player had already wheeled away to celebrate.
The boys played some fantastic hockey from front to back across the tournament. With 7 of the 9 still u12 players next season, the future is bright for this squad of boys.
