It felt like summer as GU14 Kestrels faced off against H&W on Sunday 9th March. The Kestrels midfield started strongly with Jess, Lexi and Nalini sending the ball to Cleo for a hattrick in the first 15 minutes of the game. H&W fought back with a goal, which was swiftly followed by a goal from Melita and one from Emma to finish the first half. In the second half H&W were strong opposition, with several chances defended brilliantly by Caitlin, Ariyana and Verena, with Rhea in goal. A lovely goal from Edie in the 44 minute, followed by an extraordinary run down the length of the pitch by Jess and Emma with Emma scoring, motivating the team to keep going in the heat. Excellent play from Beth and Sienna, set up several shots which just missed, and a final goal for captain Jess to finish the game. Congratulations to player of the match Lexi. Well done Kestrels!
