After a team lunch (pictured), Ealing W1s played away against one of the top three teams in the league, Harrow W1s. A late 16.00 push-back meant we played with the low sun in our eyes and eventually under the floodlights. The first half saw us concede three goals, two from outfield and one from a PC. In the second half, we managed to slow the opposition down and hold possession. Despite having to defend several short corners (my feet could realistically be added to the opposition’s team sheet), we didn’t concede a single goal and GK Mia, stepping up from the 2s, was voted player of the match for making several key saves. Final score 3-0 to Harrow.
