The W1s played at home this weekend against West Herts. Spoiler alert: WE WON! It was an absolute scorcher, Costa del St Augustineās if you will. West had push back and we had the sun at our backs for the first half. Romilly capitalised on a great opportunity 10 minutes in to score on her first match back from injury. Zoe soon followed with another open play goal. We conceded early in the second half, but not to worry, Daisy popped one in the back of the net five minutes later. We held at 3 - 1 for the last 25 minutes. My nerves were shot and the final whistle was divine. Maike and Kara shared player of the match this week, for their epic 16s that set up almost every successful play for us. Our last game at home this season! A win! Onto the next, and last, next week.
