A well-deserved win against Surbiton in the Buzzard's first home match since the start of November.
Ana opened the scoring with a close-range finish following a brilliant cross from Elena, but the otherwise much-improved Ealing defence fell asleep shortly afterwards to allow the equaliser. A near replica of Ealing's first goal made it 2-1, before Elena again provided the assist for Amelia to score just before half time. A penalty stroke for Ana brought Ealing's fourth, sandwiched between 2 PC goals for the Swans. After a nervy last few minutes in the dugout, the Umpire's whistle finally signalled a 4-3 win.
Elena takes Player of the Match for her 3 assists, which might seem harsh on Hat-trick Hero Ana, but every now and then you just have to celebrate the creators. The girls play their final competitive game of the season next week, when I hope they can extend their incredible 100% record at home this season (P2 W2).
