Ealing W1s played at home this weekend against Richmond W2s. For the first match of the season, we welcomed a number of fresh faces to the team with players stepping up from our other squads as well as some returning from university. Richmond got the first goal in a scrap against our defence in the first half. We equalised within the first two minutes of the second half with Annabel winning out in front of the goal. Phoebe scored our second goal to take us to 2-1, which we held for the rest of the match. Player of the match went to Lauren for a strong start in the 1s. Special mention to GK Mia, who stepped up and made a number of key saves. Final score 2-1 to Ealing. What a start! Onto the next :)
