On Saturday 7th October, the W1s took on Wanderers W5 in the scorching sun. With strong to the game we were dominated in our attacking play. There were some great opportunities to score but the oppositions defence made this difficult.
Moving I to the second half are defence stepped up and we didn’t concede, though the opposition gave a good fight. As the final whistle blew we were awarded a short corner and the emotions were running high. As the whole team came up to support, the spectators holding their breath, Ellie injected the ball straight to Magda who slipped it back to Ellie who whacked it near post corner, deflected off a defenders stick and hit top bins. The team were ecstatic as we had won our first game of the season.
