Ealing W2 v West Hampstead L5
Two two two! But this isn’t a ghost story…. Two goals from the two teams, and too cold! 🥶
Ealing 2s return to hockey after too long from the Christmas break. To us, this was a big game, having previously lost to West Hampstead 5s last time we met. An early goal by the opposition was worrying but we didn’t too and frow! We passed out wide, drove up the side line and from the P-spot, Maddie scored an unbelievable goal, 2 seconds before halftime.
The second half (2 of 2 you might say) saw us take the early lead. Our hopes were high but sadly we too let another in. However we battled hard to the end with some awesome defensive work from the whole team, special shout out to Phoebe for ALWAYS being first to the ball! And Maddy for using her face as a ball stopper (yikes) to see the game end in a 2-2 draw.
This takes Ealing 2s well out of the relegation zone. Bring on match number 2 of 2025
