Women's 2 vs Eastcote L3

Eastcote v Ealing 

A valiant game from our 2s. A home game on a beautiful sunny London afternoon with 3 brand new players for our 2s. Trying out a new structure had a few wobbles at the beginning and a lot of defensive short corners saw Eastcote bag 3 early goals to make it 3-0. However, Ealing prevailed and tightened up only letting one more in before half time. 

In true Ealing style, we held our heads high and came out fighting! The second half was another defensive masterclass and a few looks at goal. Anya created some great goal scoring opportunities, Zoe and Molly did a fantastic job of covering up front, mid field AND Defense - they earned their match teas! Mari, as always, was strong in the middle and popped up everywhere. 

Charlotte and Jen put a solid defensive set in, and as a team, we kept Eastcote out, meaning the second half was 0-0! Shout out to Kat for stepping up and playing GK, making save after save. Also huge kudos to Clemmie for putting in a great shift outfield. 

Huge thank you to the newbies, Helen and Lucy, hopefully new recruits going forwards.

And it has to be Player of the Match to Jess! Fantastic ball skills and tackling today.
