A valiant effort all round today. An ambitious Ealing team stepped out against table toppers Hampstead and Westminister and we showed our stuff. After some early defensive shorts we settled into our groove and had some great runs by Lettie up the wing and Shaan through the middle.
As always, a nippy Marie-Helen in the middle, and the ever strong Defense of Maike, Alessia and Phoebe with Jen running around in the middle!
At half time, the scores - nill nill.
Heading into the second half the forwards really showed their stuff, Molly, Zoe and Maddie confusing the opposition and getting in front really well.
Hampstead and Westminster showed why they’re top of the league, and got a short corner resulting in a goal, but Ealing didn’t give up!
Maddie and Molly got the ball over the white wash, but sadly the goal was disallowed. Another slight lapse in attention saw them sneak one past us, but the goalkeeping efforts from Mia were next level!
