An exciting triangular cup final away vs Cheam and Wayfarers for Ealing U16 Boys Lion.
A goal-less draw in the first match between Cheam and Wayfarers lead to a Wayfarers win on penalty flicks. Ealing got off to a strong start in their first match, but were beaten by a powerful Cheam side. As always, Ealing was not deterred and made many attempts on goal in the last game, with Wayfarers winning 2-0 in the end. Gold medals to Wayfarers, Cheam the Silver and Ealing the Bronze.
In his team talk, Coach Ash reminded the boys that they don’t just play to win, they play for the friendship, the shared experiences, the camaraderie and the Ealing Hockey community. As always, the boys were still smiling at the end - well done boys!
